Hi there I'm still relatively new to waka ama, but I have definitely caught the bug, and ready to try my next adventure! I've been dragon boating for years and race competitively at a national level. I'm a 44yo woman from the Wairarapa in New Zealand. I'm tall, fit, strong, and I love digging deep when things get tough. Giving up isn't really in my nature and I love the long distance aspect of Waka racing. I'm definitely a competitive person and always want to do my best, but I'm just as keen to be part of a crew that's supportive, has a good laugh, and enjoys being on the water together and to experience what this event is all about. I'm always happy to listen, learn, and fit in with whatever the crew needs. I can paddle in seats 2-5, with my usual seat being seat 3. Unfortunately I couldn't get a full team together to enter in the event this year, so I'm now a lost paddler looking to join another crew.
