Are the junior races held in the open ocean?
No, they are held in the safety of our lagoon.
Will the juniors have their own closing event & prize giving (no alcohol)?
Yes, their closing event will be seperate to the adult ceremony.
Are there RAMs forms available for the juniors?
Yes, we are happy to send them to you.
Are PFDs provided? (Personal Flotation Device)
No, teams are required to provide their own PFD.
Are there Junior Singles Races?
No, juniors will race V6 irons and sprints
Can individual juniors compete as they accompany competing parents?
Yes, we have a ‘Paddling Pool’ for individuals that wish to be put into a team.
SENIORS
Can I enter as an individual?
Yes, you go into a ‘Paddling Pool’ and are put into a team.
(Please note; a team is NOT guaranteed as it is based on how many paddlers register
into the pool)
What do paddlers need to bring?
Your own Paddle (a must have item)
Seat padding, duct tape, PFD, Extra rubbers, Gels (optional items)
What kind of V6 craft do we have?
Taimana, locally made.
Matahina, made in Tahiti.
Can our team train prior to race days?
Yes, Mon – Fri 8am – 3pm.

What is the ‘Boiler Swim’?
A fun 800m swim from Trader Jacks to the Matai shipwreck boiler and back.
Will our crew have a safety boat for the RRR change over race?
Yes, we provide a safety boat and crew for each team.
